The areas of Deadvlei and Sossusvlei in Namibia is world famous for the stark desert landscapes and dead trees littering the landscape. I took plenty of images of the “typical” scenes and they are fantastic don’t get me wrong, but I was drawn far more to the simple lines and tones of this dune in the opposite direction. What I especially love is the subtle footprints in the sand which you can really appreciate when this image is printed super large.

The charity you are helping to support when purchasing this print is Little Bugs. Little Bugs is a free Early Childhood Development Centre and lower primary school in Sossusvlei, Namibia. Education is a basic human right, but out in the desert, isolated from towns and cities without public transport, that human right is hard to fulfil. With tourism on the rise, the local community is rapidly growing and the need for education and other services are on the rise. Little Bugs is focused on providing free, quality education and a well-balanced nutrition plan to previously disadvantaged children of preschool and lower primary.
Sizing
As examples of my best work all limited editions are only available in large sizes. The sizes stated refer to the longest side of the print, with the total print size varying slightly depending on image dimensions, but always include a large white border around the print where the edition number and signature will be. The white border will aid with mounting and displaying the print, and leaves it to the discretion of the buyer if they would like the signature and number on display or not. Just 5 of each size are available so are truly limited edition. Exact size of the print will be provided on purchase to help selecting a frame.
